Anonymous asked: could you give me advice on what to do with merch i buy before a concert? i'm going to one soon and i'm expecting to buy a tshirt, maybe more depending on what they have, but i'm standing and not bringing a bag so i don't know what to do with it/where to put it so it's not bugging me all night. any suggestions? :3

Buy your merch at the end of the show! That way you can just buy it and leave instead of having to worry about holding onto it all night. But if you’re dead set on buying it before for whatever reason, try to run it back to your car or with the person who dropped you off so you can avoid dealing with it, then it’s like a nice little present when you leave to go home :)

Anonymous asked: i would like advice on how to be able to meet artists at a concert like bamboozle :3

Sure thing! First of all, see if the band is doing anything like a meet and greet, hanging out at a tent, etc before going through the stalking process. A lot of times, bands will hang out at a merch table, tent, etc or do something like, “if you buy a CD, you can meet us so we sign it” and things like that. If none of that is offered or available, hang out by the sides of the stages, walk around close to back stage areas, talk to people, things like that. Hang out by the barricade to the busses and be patient. Sometimes they’ll see fans standing there and come over and say hi. If they don’t, try to talk to everyone you can and if you’re lucky they might let you meet some people. Just hang around, talk to people, be friendly, and you’ll probably get lucky :)

thelifeandtimesofatheatregeek asked: So my mother has this strict rule that if she doesn't like the music, she won't take me to a concert, and I can't go alone. I'm not saying if she disapproves, it's if it's not to her taste. Example, I could play her something by Lights and ask to go to a show, and if she "can't stand it for more than an hour" she won't take me. She also won't let me go with a friend or them and their parents. I've tried talking to her, but she won't really listen. Got any advice as to how I can change her mind?

How old are you? Do you have any older brother/sisters/friends? The first time I went to a concert alone with friends, my dad took us, dropped us off outside, and waited there outside for the length of the concert just so he was readily right there if I needed anything and that he could see I could be trusted. Try to show that you can be trusted with things like that and that you’re smart enough to not make any stupid decisions. If there’s a friend you hang out with a lot or that your parents know theirs, try to hang out with them more and get your mom in contact with their parents so she knows they can also be trusted. It can be tricky, and I had a similar problem the first time I went to a festival thing, but try to sit her down and explain your side and she’ll come around. Good luck!

Anonymous asked: So I want to go to this show, but the venue is kinda small/not well-taken-care-of and my parents aren't so sure. I've never been to the venue before, so I can't think of anyway to convince them. Any advice?

If it would make them feel better, tell them they should go check out the venue before hand to see what it’s like. If you’re going with a friend, make sure your parents know you won’t be alone and that it’ll be alright. Try to convince them that smaller, not so great venues are still just ordinary concert venues. They wouldn’t get booked if they weren’t fit for a show. Just keep pushing it so they know you really want to go and you’re serious about convincing them it’s okay :)

Anonymous asked: How can i get onto one of the bands tour bus?

fycmask:

Hang out around the busses, if possible, meet the band before trying to get on their bus to show them you’re not trying to stalk/rape/murder them. Some bands strictly do NOT allow you on their bus no matter what, so keep that in mind. Be friendly and likable. No band is gonna invite you onto their bus if they don’t want your company. Your best bet is to hang out around them, talk to them, etc and if you’re lucky they’ll either invite you on, or they’ll say yes when you ask them

Anonymous asked: im going to my first concert in 80 days and im sorta nervous yet really stoked… how can i get near the front with GA/ anything else i should know?

fycmask:

GET THERE EARLY. The earlier you get there, the earlier you go in. The earlier you go in, the better chance you have at getting to the front. Don’t be the asshole who gets there right before the concert with the plan to plow through everyone who got there hours before to get their spot in the front. Enjoy yourself! You’re gonna have a great time.

Anonymous asked: At warped are you allowed to have cameras? Like really good cameras? Because I have a canon t3i, and I want to bring it, but i'm not sure if they'll let me have it.

Technically any camera that does not have a detachable lens is allowed aka a point-and-shoot

Anonymous asked: What do you suggest I wear to Warped Tour?

SHORTS. And a tank top/t-shirt/LIGHT top. Sunglasses, and sunscreen, seriously. You will be a lobster. A sunburned lobster. Ultra lobster. Leave the jewelry at home. Just try to stay cool and hydrated. Sneakers, or shoes that will protect your feet and not fall off. Make sure to check the weather and dress appropriately based off of that!

Anonymous asked: when bands have VIP lists, what does that usually mean?

fycmask:

It depends on the band! I just had VIP for Asking Alexandria which included earlier entry, a bandana and poster, and a meeting/signing with the band after the show. I’ve had VIP for other bands as well, ranging anywhere from side stage/private viewing points, just a meet and greet, early entry, etc. Check on the band website to see what that band specifically offers. They can be very reasonable price-wise but also can get very expensive. Some might have different levels, so just see what they have available.
